Writer and humorist Firoozeh Dumas was born in Abadan, Iran, and moved to California at the age of seven. She is the author of two New York Times bestselling memoirs, Funny in Farsi and Laughing Without an Accent. Her most recent novel, It Ain't So Awful, Falafel was recently published to rave reviews. She has also written for the New York Times, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, Gourmet Magazine and many other publications. Firoozeh currently lives in Germany with her French husband of almost thirty years, their youngest child and Nutella, the dog they rescued in Greece.
