Joya Mitra

Joya Mitra is a writer and self-styled social philosopher who sees human civilisations as mainly the result of her natural surroundings. Besides writing fiction and poetry, she writes a great deal on ecology and culture. She is the recipient of the Ananda Puraskar, Sahitya Akademi Translation Award, among others. She has more than 25 published books.
