Minal Pathak

Minal Pathak works as a Senior Scientist with the Technical Support Unit of Working Group III (Mitigation) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). She coordinates activities at the Global Centre for Environment and Energy at Ahmedabad University. Prior to this, she was Associate Professor in the Faculty of Planning at CEPT University, Ahmedabad. Her research focuses on low carbon cities, scenarios assessment, transportation decarbonization and urban resilience. She is a lead author on the Second Assessment Report on Climate Change and Cities coordinated by Columbia University’s Earth Institute. Professor Pathak holds a PhD and MSc in Environmental Science. She is a Visiting Researcher at Imperial College London and has held visiting scholar positions at the Department of Urban Studies and Planning, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor Bahru.
