Shubha Mudgal

Shubha Mudgal is a vocalist who has specialised in the Hindustani classical genres of khayal and thumi-dadra. Her involvement with popular Indian music and chart busting Indipop tracks has been widely recognised. She is the recipient of several national and international awards for her musical accomplishments. With deep roots in the magical and diverse world of Indian music, Mudgal has been a student, performer, teacher, composer and columnist for several decades.  Not surprisingly, therefore, her debut collection of short stories revolves around the music that has nurtured and helped find her voice.
