Soumitra Ray

Soumitra Ray is a musician and author and is one of the founder-members of internationally acclaimed band Bhoomi which has the distinction of performing an exclusive show at the United Nations Headquarters in New York in 2006. He worked as a sports journalist for The Telegraph after completing his education from Frank Anthony Public School, St. Paul’s Darjeeling and then St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta. He has received the Banga Ratna Award and Mr Adivasi is his first novel.
