Aparajita Dasgupta
Aparajita Dasgupta received her Bachelor’s degree in History from Presidency College, and her MA, MPhil and PhD degrees in History from Calcutta University. She is currently the CEO of West Bengal State Book Board and is a member of the State Heritage Commission. She has been a Visiting Scholar in South Asian Studies in the University of Pennsylvania, and a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at St Mary’s University. She is working on her first academic book – Domesticating Nationalism: Women and the Politics of Gender in Bengal, 1870-1950. She has written Surer Smriti, Smritir Sur, a book of short stories, Chhayapath, a novel, and a collection of autobiographical vignettes, Ichchher Gaachh.
