Nilanjan Bandyopadhyay

Born on 21 September 1974, Nilanjan Bandyopadhyay was raised at Santiniketan of West Bengal, India. An ardent admirer of Japanese culture and aesthetics, Nilanjan Bandyopadhyay writes short verses in Bengali. Inspired by Japanese shodo, he has introduced a type of cursive calligraphy in Bengali. He lives in Santiniketan and works from his Japan-inspired residence and studio Kokoro designed by a Japanese architect.
